Pediatric Nurses take care of different children who have various traits and attitudes. Sometimes, children cannot express what kind of body pain they are feeling or going through that is why Pediatric Nurses need to watch them more closely to be able to discern the source of their pain and give ease and comfort to them right away. More often than not, out of fear, children cannot be stopped from crying when they see an injection or hospital apparatus needed in their treatment. Pediatric Nurses need not to get too emotionally attached to their patients to the point of them not doing a necessary procedure for they pity them. Pediatric Nurses should understand that once children get admitted into hospitals, they are to be treated like any other patients who need intensive care and treatment in order to get well. Pediatric Nurses must realize that children are often not too trusting. They want their parents, most especially their mothers, to do whatever is needed for they are afraid that something bad might to them. Pediatric Nurses should be friendly at all times for there have been some children who have developed trauma in hospitals from strict and snob nurses. Pediatric Nurses should be able to win the trust of their little patients by explaining clearly why something is needed to be done. Also, assuring them that everything will be alright and that they have nothing to be worried about would be a good idea. Pediatric Nurses need to be careful with their patients. Since they are children their bodies have not fully grown and developed yet. These nurses are obliged to go through a special training for children, babies, or new born. The said nurses need to be watchful for the reason that these patients are still sensitive. These patients can get and acquire viral diseases that can attack their immune systems devastatingly. If proper vaccination and precaution is given to children, the possibility of them growing up strong and healthy is very high. Parents should choose their pediatrician and Pediatric Nurses well for they can only be at peace if they know that they have someone to whom they can depend on when it comes to their children. Certain innovation and discoveries are being promoted as well like "new born skin" in order to detect if a child has abnormalities as soon and as early as the baby has been born. This shall prevent any complications that may occur in the future. This has been proven accurate and effective but certain health precaution needs to be taken still in order to assure safety. |
